This was our first year on the Run and we Loved it, Great Weather, Nice Folks, Beautiful Scenery, and a great band. We have been attending Runs in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, South Dakota, New Mexico, and Montana, this Run has the Potential to be a big one. I will put an article in the ABATE Newsletter supporting the Run and to let folks know that Forks has a different attitude towards Bikers than in the past. Several of us including Tacoma Chapter ABATE had bad experiences Riding through Forks and therefore it was left off of a lot of lists. That maybe why some folks did not show. I heard Vendor comments comparing this Run to Abates Spring Opener, folks have to realize that Abate of Wa. has been doing the Spring Opener since the 70's and has weathered good years and bad. You are doing fine and are on the right track. The site itself is very impressive. I did appreciate the sign outside the run that stated Caution Motorcycle. Way to Go! One last important note: It is a really good idea to have a crash truck at all Motorcycle events. All the Runs we have been on have had one. Gary and I rescued along with several persons from Forks a Woman who got spooked and went off the Road on the Run to the Hoe River. They were from Tacoma and we put their bike on our Trailer and took it home for them as she was injured. We also pulled the Motorcycle up from over the edge so no Tow Truck was needed and the expense was spared to the already shaken up Fiance, these persons were not on our Run and didn't hear about it until they reached Port Angeles but they were still In the Wind and needed help. In the quest book at the Forks Museum we put as our comment Thank You to the town of Forks for allowing us to come and Ride there. I think that is important in keeping the Ride going. Thank You Again for your Hospitality and we will be back. A Good Time was had by all!!!
